Football Dreams Come True !

A football-mad youngster has been helped to achieve his sporting dreams by M-Tech Data.

Toby Comley-Excell, 11, from Swinton, suffers from genetic muscle-wasting disease Duchenne muscular dystrophy. But the determined youngster has discovered a talent for powerchair football and was given the chance to play at an international training camp in Portugal later this month if he could raise £1,200.

M-Tech Data’s purchasing assistant Helen O’Callaghan brought the cause to our attention and we were happy to give our support, donating £800. This along with Helen’s personal donation of £100 has helped pay for Toby’s week long trip.

Anne and Vicky’s Kilimanjaro Challenge

At the moment, Anne Cox and her equally adventurous team mate Vicky Sherlock are tackling the Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain peak. The challenge aims at raising money and awareness for Believe In Magic, a Charity that offers support to children suffering from both serious and terminal illnesses.
All of us at M-tech Data are proud to support Anne and Vicky in what will be an extremely challenging yet fulfilling experience. We encourage anyone, if possible, to donate to BeliveInMagic via http://www.justgiving.com/anne-vicky-webelieveinmagic.
We can safely say that any money raised in their name will be well deserved!

Amelia Hodgson, Russian/French sales administrator, is leaving us to move to London. We would like to thank her for her hard work over the last year and wish her every success in her new job and new life.

Here at M-Tech Data we’re passionate about not only supporting, but promoting, charitable organisations and all of the good work that they do. In recent months, our employees have become actively involved with several charities by participating in events and raising funds.
